​Anticipation est la première exposition à Paris de l'artiste, spécialiste en papier découpé Lauren Iida,
à la Galerie Lee.
​
Iida est une artiste visuelle américano-japonaise de Seattle, Washington, USA.
Dans cette nouvelle série de "papiers découpés" originaux, Iida évoque des moments mélancoliques, des vignettes intimes apparemment figées dans le temps, de sa longue période d'isolement au Cambodge au plus fort de la pandémie du COVID 19.

Iida a résidé au Cambodge pendant la majeure partie des treize dernières années, où elle encadre et représente des artistes cambodgiens contemporains par le biais de Open Studio Cambodia.
Elle est également une artiste publique prolifique qui réside actuellement à Seattle, Washington.

Anticipation (Sept 15 - Oct 1, 2022) is paper-cut artist, Lauren Iida’s debut exhibition in Paris at Galerie Lee. Iida is a Japanese American visual artist from Seattle, Washington, USA. In this new series of original “paper cutaways,” Iida recalls melancholy moments, intimate vignettes apparently frozen in time, from her long period of isolation in Cambodia during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic. Iida has resided in Cambodia for most of the last thirteen years where she mentors and represents contemporary Cambodian artists through
​ Open Studio Cambodia. She is also a prolific public artist currently residing in Seattle, Washington.
