Path With Art A fantastic Seattle-based non-profit
"Path with Art offers programs that help transform the lives of people recovering from homelessness, addiction, and other trauma by combining the powers of creative engagement and community connection."
I am fortunate to have taken part in a class put on by Path With Art at the Recovery Cafe in 2012. The class was a basic "intro to art" class, which included drawing, painting, wire sculpture, and other topics. As an assistant teacher I was asked to teach a class on paper cutting. I was so impressed by the work that was produced during this short class period and the interest of the students in this craft.
At the recent annual Path With Art fund raising breakfast I was pleased to find a photo of one of the paper cutaways produced by a student in my class on the front of one of their greeting cards which were given to all the guests at the fund raiser. So exciting!
